As part of the development of the “Tendrara Field Development Project,” two environmental and social impact assessments were entrusted to RESING: the first focused on the approximately 120 km pipeline connecting the provinces of Figuig and Jerada, and the second on the production facilities, including wells, clusters, and the Central Processing Facility (CPF). These assessments aimed to evaluate the project’s potential impacts on the environment and local communities, and to define the measures required to ensure regulatory compliance and long-term sustainability.

The work began with an exhaustive collection of data from the relevant regional administrations and institutions in the Oriental region, complemented by field investigations to establish the environmental, social, socioeconomic, and ecological baseline of the areas crossed by the project. Based on this foundation, the team prepared the two Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) in accordance with Moroccan regulatory requirements and applicable international standards.

Each study resulted in the development of an Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP), detailing the mitigation, monitoring, and management measures to be implemented throughout the project lifecycle. The files also included all documents required for the public inquiry, as well as the technical and visual materials needed for the meetings of the National Environmental Impact Assessment Committee.

RESING provided comprehensive support to the project developer, SOUND ENERGY, throughout the review and approval process, including the preparation of presentations, technical exchanges with the relevant departments, and responses to the observations issued by the National Committee. This work enabled the project to obtain environmental clearance in accordance with current regulations.
